Red Teal

BRANDING | SALESFORCE CONSULTING AGENCY

Red Teal is a small, nimble team devoted to creating unique, innovative Salesforce solutions for clients and partners. I helped elevate and evolve their brand identity, which originally included a flying duck. I drew inspiration from the founder’s California roots, referencing vintage type and interlocking letterforms as well as a warmer color scheme. The solution is simple, modern, and friendly. It evokes strength with the rigidity of the lock-up while inspiring trust and compassion with the gentle breaks and curves.

I kicked things off by having a conversation with the client to gather more information related to their goals. I asked questions about the brand to help guide the creative direction. I then moved into an ideation phase, which involved rough sketches and mood boards to represent different options the client could consider.

The client was drawn to the third option above because it was most reminiscent of his California roots and felt like a very unique logo. I made some additional iterations, including playing around with a thicker, more traditional geometric sans typeface, and moving away from lower case to shift us further away from retail/apparel branding and back into the tech space.

We agreed on a more modern color palette (option 1) and having a single color of red used in the logo rather than a more literal interpretation of red and teal. The result is bold, fun, and eye-catching. I’m very proud of how this custom logo turned out.
